Topic: Sketching traditionally vs digitally

Posted under Art Talk

Personally, whenever I do digital art, I feel like doing initial sketches on pencil and paper
Is much easier than when sketching it digitally, be it on my tablet or my computer.
And it's there painting process where it gets a bit easier for me.

Anyone has this sentiment?

I get the same, it's quite weird. Perhaps it's due to the difference of surface friction between a tablet and paper, as well as the difference between looking at a surface reflecting light and looking directly at the source of light from a screen, which I guess puts more strain on one's eyes.
Or maybe the inherent imperfection of traditional materials makes one less aware or less worried of their own imperfections while drawing.
