Topic: Stella Redesign and GVH/Snoot Game Tag Clean-ups

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Greetings, Fellow e621 Users and Fans of the Volcano High Multiverse!

Since Stella, the stego girl got significantly redesigned compared to the original leaked design used in Snoot Game, I decided that to keep respecting e621’s Tag What You See rules, I seperated the tags.

If you are planning to draw and upload art of Stella featuring the original character design or something based on it, the new tag for it now is stella_(snoot_game).

If you otherwise plan to use the redesigned Stella in Goodbye Volcano High, the old stella_(gvh) tag will still be kept for it.

Here is a visual representation of the new tagging system for Stella:

Tagging help

For the mods:

You only need to change the implication pull between the tags; when someone tags stella_(gvh), this must only automatically pull in the goodbye_volcano_high tag, while stella_(snoot_game) needs to pull in BOTH goodbye_volcano_high AND snoot_game.

I hope with this clarification of the tags, I helped people clearing their confusion on the two character designs (and helping people blacklist if they wish not to see either one of the character designs).

Thank you for hearing me out!

EDIT: Please edit the lore context in the stella_(snoot_game) wiki if I got something wrong from the game, I am only halfway in.

You did a lot of work to create those tags and I wanted compliment you. I don't really mind the tags one way or another, and you make a good point with some people really wanting to distinguish between Snoot Game and GVH.

I just wanted to point out that it may occur that making the distinction between the two will be confusing sometimes. Which way would the tags swing if Stella was in an alternate costume, form, species, or sex?

Also, Snoot Game's Stella is still based off of an old KO_OP design and is still their intellectual property. I think some may see that making this distinction is redundant or some fans of GVH/KO_OP may see this as a disservice to attribute one design specifically to Snoot Game.

The community divide issue has been resolved peacefully with the context provided on the wiki page by another hard-working individual of this site.

As for the alternate costumes, for the crossovers, one can use the IP’s tag, the crossover tag and the crossover_costume tags together.

The alternate species problem has also already been solved with the alternate_species and humanized tags.

There are also tons of subtags of the crossgender tag, too, for Rule 63 drawings of Stella. The most relevant ones are ftm_crossgender and fti_crossgender in this case.

Word of Caution

—to anyone tagging under the mode of operation suggested by the OP;

It can be confirmed that mods will exact punitive scores/feedback on user's accounts if they pair Stella_(Snoot_Game) with the IP tag Goodbye_Volcano_High on images that do not feature an additional GVH character.

In other words: don't bother adding the GVH tag.
