Both characters in post #4357867 have flames floating above their heads.
What tag best describes them?

Smooshkin calls them crown_flame
But I'm looking for a more general term.
I would go with nimbus(not currently a tag) for supernatural head adornments, aura/aureole for the full body version, and make halo and crown_flame imply nimbus. Or, alias halo to halo(nimbus) to seperate further from the halo game series.
I would also make Sims gems imply nimbus, and other overhead indicators like quest markers, when applied to a character.
