Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

Topic: Patreon and Ko-fi Questions - Using them as a Tipjars and Repository for Challenges

Posted under Art Talk

So, I have set up a Patron and Ko-fi; they can be found on my profile page.
And I have questions.

1. How do I use Patreon as a tipjar? Do the patrons only tip once a month when it comes to tipjars?
2. Currently, I am posting my artwoks there for free. Should I include artworks of challenges like Inktober here?

Patreon isn't a tip jar, it's a monthly subscription site. It takes your patrons' money once per month.
If you're looking for an actual tip jar, that'd be ko-fi.

If you're only posting things for free, nobody will pay. What are you selling? You need something to sell, whether that's paywalled art, patron-only raffles, patrons getting free or discounted commissions from you, etc.

Additional question. Is it okay if I post my old art there as well?

You can put whatever you want on your own patreon lmao. The question is whether people will pay for it.

Figures. I already have a Ko-fi, and from what you're saying, this could be applicable to Ko-fi too, albeit Ko-fi doens't allow NSFW art.

Most's nsfw artists don't post anything on Ko-Fi. They simply link it on their other socials. You don't necessarily need to post anything to it to use it as a simple tip jar.

This, accept tips through it, post the stuff elsewhere. It'd probably be more efficient if you get a following to just buy a vps and use a template to make your own gallery website and add kofi integration since so many places are so unaccepting of nsfw art, especially of the furry variety.
