It's not the wiki, the inaccurate page is in the Help section, a completely different directory that has no option to edit. As such, I assume that only a staff member can make the necessary edit, hence the need for a report.
The help page is just a mirror for e621:staff, which is locked so that only staff can edit it.
Nevertheless, changed.

Good to know. As an IS student, it's interesting to see how the site works at an infrastructure level. Thanks for the quick update.

How did you recognize the change so quickly?

LOL, millions of users, thousands active, bound to have someone see it as it happens...

Mod Actions => user level change exists. A person could watch that. I'm more surprised that people read site help wikis and make threads about mistakes, which is probably a good thing.

What is more likely, is that someone noticed that help:home was in the recent changes, looked at the diffs and the staff level change, realised help:staff didn't show up, and confirmed there wasn't a change there.

I was poking around the site help pages, this was back when I had just barely made my account. I just happened to stumble across the discrepancy and thought this was the best place to raise the issue.
