The tag alias #64848 tentacle_monster -> tentacle_creature has been approved.
Reason: Matches the format of other tags like goo_creature or elemental_creature better. Also, the organism in question doesn't always need to fit e621’s definition of monster. Best example would be a pumpkin with lots of vines as tentacles. A tentacle creature, but not really a monster.
I’m aware that there is a BUR (https://e621.net/forum_topics/30008) still pending, but I don’t agree with the solution presented there. The older BUR suggests leaving tentacle_monster and tentacle_creature as two separate tags. I don’t think that is necessary. If the tentacle_creature also happens to be a monster just tag tentacle_creature and monster separately. We don’t need another tag to indicate the tentacle creature is at the same time a monster.
