Reason: the wiki for pokemon_(species) states

Species tagging

Despite being called Pocket Monsters, most Pokémon do not look monstrous enough to be tagged as monster. Moreover, while Pokémon species may also be tagged with certain physical traits/classes, they should not also be tagged with the specific species of animal they are based on. So for example, the Pokémon Blaziken (see below), could be tagged with Avian since it has bird-like features such as talons, feathers, and a beak; but it should never also be tagged with Chicken.

I feel that all of these Pokemon are clearly equids, so implications would make sense (I went with equid over equine because other fictional species like unicorns are implicated to there).

we generally avoid implying copyrighted species like pokémon from real species since they're effectively character tag adjacent and the way stuff like cosplay works with them.

gotcha

I still think that's a silly rule to not imply what we're already allowed to tag. Hybrids still get tagged as their component species, this just requires manually tagging what the site already says we can tag. The lack of implications only causes many posts to miss tags they should have, making searches for those tags exclude posts that should be returned.
