Topic: [REJECTED] Tags and posts inconsistency

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #5976 has been rejected.

mass update pussy_juice_splatter -> pussy_juice_splashing
mass update anal_juice_splatter -> anal_juice_splashing
mass update cum_splatter -> cum_splashing

Reason: wiki #28462 determines that splashing is when a character actively creates a splash, tagged posts are about splashing so update will fix inconsistency :)

how about cum_splatter?
i would take it those tags get to be tagged that way because of this one
and also its better for an alias if you want people using the correct term

It's good you noticed. From splatter types only cum_splatter remained inconsistent so that's all for now.

Splatter makes more sense than splashing, since a splatter can be the result of splashing but not the other way around. e.g. post #3941615 is pussy_juice_splatter, but there's not any pussy_juice_splashing going on.

So we should prefer more generalized version over the more correct version? I'm sorry maybe I'm autistic or something but why not make the meaning consistent across the tags? Should we change the meaning of the words on wiki #28462 for splashing and splatter, or make aliases, or do something else?

"*_splatter" is the more correct version. Splashing can result in splatter, but not all splatter is splashing. Changing *_splatter tags to *_splashing would cause many posts to be mistagged with splashing when there's only a splatter. The splatter wiki looks correct: "When a fluid or viscous substance such as paint or cum scatters across a surface as a result of impact.", which is accurate for images like post #4333588, and it also says not to be confused with: "splashing - A character actively creating a splash." which doesn't apply to all splatter posts, like the example I linked.
