Recently, as in like 2 days ago I had to find a VPN just to access the site as all I was getting was the News header talking about that state ban, I live in Virginia, like middle of the state roughly, don't know why the site is just now marking my connection as blocked without the VPN active but I don't think I fall under that blocking umbrella.. and I'm 99% positive I haven't done anything to warrant an account ban/ IP ban so yeah, just wanted to report that

edit: I just checked an even after logging out of the account and turning the VPN off it still marks my area as Blocked with that news message

How it happens is up in the air, maybe your isp routes their traffic through NC at some point, who knows - but your ip is marked as being from NC, so it's blocked accordingly

Doesn't Virginia have a similar law?

yep, Tmobile is routing me through NC, because of course lets use another state for your network connection smh ty for the quick response

It blocks me off VPN while using iCloud private relay. My ISP is in KY and the location of my IP says New York when looking it up. So I don’t think this is correct. And if it is then it seems common for random ISPs to be routed through NC, and it seems insane to block all of them. Idk what bs is going on in NC but it seems crazy that the site would need to be blocked so excessively.

was there an update with NC i didn't see? i live in NC and have been needing a VPN for some time a few days ago i forgot to turn it on and i got right through and have not had an issue

Same. I have opera gx but i don't need the vpn for some reason
