The tag alias #66174 fur_pattern -> fur_markings has been approved.
Reason: Fur pattern is referring to a character's fur markings. I can't figure out how they could be separate things

Checks out. After a quick scroll of the fur pattern tag I can't find something that would contradict aliasing this to fur_markings.
Oop its already a pending alias. Bumping this and copying and pasting what I was going to post.
Patterns have been used for the same purpose as markings, and I haven't seen any distinctions combing through posts. Plus much fewer posts tagged with pattern than marking. Additionally, on the wiki page for pattern it clearly states that fur patterns should be tagged as markings. I don't see a use for fur_pattern except for generating confusion.
