Topic: Should "Chibi" imply "young"?

I made a post earlier suggesting that Dacad's posts should be tagged as "chibi" instead of young, with the logic that the traits of the two are quite similar. The administration's stance is that the "young" tag is valid, and so I suggest that since the traits of the two tags are so similar, "chibi" should implicate young.

When a thread gets locked, it means don't create a new one right after to continue the discussion.

These aren’t even remotely the same thing. And seeing how this is just a thinly veiled way of continuing the same drama threads that have all been locked, this one’s going the same way.

Read the wikis if you really want to try to understand the difference. chibi/young

Chibi is purely an extremely large head-body ratio thing. Young includes large head-body ratios (though not usually to the same extent as chibi, just a higher ratio than you get with a typical adult), in addition to other visible body traits such as:

Shorter, slightly stubby limbs
Rounded face, and "soft" facial features
Less sexually dimorphic figures than adults, lacking broad shoulders, wide hips, or developed breasts.

If those are present, it’s not necessarily chibi, but it is young.
