It makes me laugh when I see that tag on my artwork, there's no way that these are creepy or anything else

Doesn't being crushed by a giant smiling spongebob sound like a nightmare enough to you?
Ok, maybe not you, but it does to some people.

I request a pac-man/spongebob mutation like the episode where spongebob and squidward get merged, except this time large and chasing/squishing stuff. We need more fuel for the nightmares.

Yeah, that was me, really more because of the creepy faces than the macro city crushing itself.

I mean, there's a lot of that on your artist tag and in general, so that's not automatically nightmare fuel, but it gets way creepier when the Godzilla stand-in is staring vacantly into the distance with wide drug-fueled eyes and the dopiest smile one could possibly imagine, with two robotic-looking arms, wearing speedos.

Perhaps the Pacman ones were less justified, guess it was just my "eww gross!" reflex kicking in and I couldn't help myself for a moment. Sowwy. :(

Alright everyone, raise your hand if you think the picture above is at least mildly unsettling.

Glad you're not offended or anything, that wasn't my intention. :P

no offending at all, I am smiling though over the tag and laughing with "the Godzilla stand-in is staring vacantly into the distance with wide drug-fueled eyes and the dopiest smile one could possibly imagine, with two robotic-looking arms, wearing speedos.." xD

They all have something a little unsettling about them. OTOH I really don't understand the nightmare_fuel tag -- most of the things you can see there strike me as mildly creepy, but generally not the kind of thing that I'll think of as I'm lying in bed in the dark (asleep or otherwise).

Which could be because I've already thought of the general idea, or because it's just pretty damn rare for artwork to really grab me emotionally in any way, negative or positive.

I guess the only real conclusion I can make from that is that whatever purpose the nightmare_fuel tag has, I probably should avoid tagging it.

what does OTOH means?

"On the other hand", similar in meaning to "However...".

If it makes you feel better, I usually end up reading it as ETOH (as in "ETOH intoxication", or being drunk). Unfortunately this rarely makes sense in context.

Ethyl alcohol/ethanol. The active ingredient found naturally in whiskey.
