Silly title, but basically, I'd like to know if anyone has a TOP favorite post they've favorited on e621; in essence, what you may consider to be the best art on this entire site, at least out of what you've seen yourself.

Also, why is it your favorite? What metric did you use to decide - art quality, uniqueness, number of times you've busted a nut to it, etc?

Feel free to link to the post to give it more visibility, and it's okay to list several posts if you simply cant decide!

For being so deceptively simple that is certainly the best animation I've seen in a while - the way that the character's movements time with the song seems very natural, like in the real world you wouldn't have a perfect snappy reaction time to dancing to a song. As far as furry animated dance videos go I usually see a lot more of stylized movements but this seems like a real person dancing. Certainly to me this animation is worth the praise of being someone's favorite e621 post!

It's hard to pick favorites. I guess to be memorable as a top favorite, it has to be:

• rule 34 of a character I like
• well drawn (duh) and hot
• not so generic as to be forgettable in the endless sea of porn, but also not just a silly forgettable gimmick
• usually a scalie, perhaps because they have more interesting character designs. It's interesting how, despite all the canine stuff I view, my TOP favorite stuff tends to be scalies.

Those are some great qualifiers for deciding what your favorites are - and it's true that the stuff you shared seems pretty unique and memorable!

Hahaa, same. Scalies are where the majority of my interest lies. I've certainly seen mammal anthro designs I find attractive, but way more of the stuff I like - especially stuff I REALLY like - is dragons, kobolds, sharks, etc. That's most of what I draw as well.

It's hard to define why I prefer scalies so much, but part of it is undeniably that they seem to be the most uniquely designed and with the most thought put into the design of the characters. Not to say unique and interesting fluffy characters don't exist but I've seen like, thousands of foxes and wolves at this point, most of which I can't tell apart and wouldn't remember or recognize.
