Topic: [Feature] Post view in pool: add number of post and total number of posts

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

When viewing a post in a pool, it would be helpful if the number of that post and the total number of posts of the pool was visible.
There are comics that include a page number manually in the description, but there's a lot of pools without.

Proposal would be to add it after the pool title and artist, e.g.
Pool: POOLNAME (ARTIST) - m/N
with m the number of the post and N the total number of posts.

This is already a thing
If you're on desktop, hover over the title of the pool at the top of the post
If you're on mobile... don't be

are you sure this isn't a re6 feature? because, looking at the HTML of the pool show page and the pool gallery page, I'm not seeing anywhere that has the pool's post count.

I'm only seeing post count on the pool list, where it's just next to the pool's title.

I'm very sure. On the posts page (which is where they were talking about; "When viewing a post in a pool"), at the top of the page where the pool title is. That element has a `title` attribute.

oh, I've never noticed this functionality when using desktop... that's honestly kind of an odd place to put that, I'd never associate .pool-name, essentially an up directory button, with holding that function.

either way, it is kind of odd to have something as useful as the page index hidden away as a tooltip, the only other stuff put into tooltips are stuff like a post's metadata, the exact date when mousing over the "x ago" text, and the dtext buttons, stuff that's got questionable/rare usefulness.
