This isn't how you make an alias request. You need to use the link in the header to fill out the appropriate form.
But in this case, it's not correct anyway. They're not the same thing, a fan character is a character created based on someone else's work, whereas an original character is a character that's original and not derivative of something else. They're actually mutually exclusive, though people like to use the term "original character" sometimes to refer to a character based on someone else's work. The tag is invalid because it's confusing and self-contradictory like that.
