Topic: Inside vs outside clarification

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

I'm currently trying to help tag the public posts as either inside or outside. It's not always possible to tag one of those (you might only see things that can exist both inside and outside such as a wall or a pool), but I'm tagging what I can. This might be needlessly pedantic, but let's clarify what qualifies as "inside" or "outside":

I think I asked about this before, but to be sure, does being inside a vehicle count as inside?

Does clearly artificial lighting qualify as inside?

Does sunlight spanning an open area qualify as outside? (This is the only instance I've seen of this so far, so it might not be worth overthinking...)

If the view is through a glass, should I even bother tagging inside or outside?

I can't help with the other two, but imo both of these should be tagged as simple_background (or abstract_background or whatever's correct there) and neither inside nor outside. I don't think people searching for inside or outside would find these to be relevant results

That makes sense. I'll keep that in mind, thanks!
