The tag alias #67787 fox_fire -> kitsunebi is pending approval.
Reason: Or alternatively from kitsunebi to fox_fire. I'd imagine not many people will know the japanese name for fox fire, hence the alias in either direction.

Wikipedia calls it kitsunebi, and does say:
"Fox fire" in English is translated to "kitsunebi" in Japanese, and this "fox" does not refer to the animal, but instead means "withered" or "rotten and discolored"...
I'd suggest flipping the alias since it's the English term and aliasing foxfire, also.
alias kitsunebi -> fox_fire alias foxfire -> fox_fire
There's a couple artists, characters, and things named foxfire/fox_fire:
foxfire07 -> battle_fennec
foxfire_(aikon)
foxfire_(character)
foxfire_kadrpg_(artist)
fox_firestrot
fox_fires_(keby)
Normally I'd be on board with aliasing Japanese words to English, but in this case it does help clear up ambiguity, and it's a thing related to Japanese folklore.
Though as the wiki states, it's similar to will-o'-the-wisps from western folklore. Perhaps they could be aliased (the will-o'-the-wisp wiki even uses two examples featuring kistunebi).
Updated
Additionally, Foxfire is an old term for glowing mushrooms.

More than I thought, but I'm not surprised I didn't search it right. Looks like we may need a disambiguation. And then I have to keep correcting myself from typing fire_fox (which is a completely different issue).
However, I should point out that all posts tagged with just plain, ol' fox_fire and firefox all show kitsunebi.

Considering these are tagged in association with foxes and a jiangshi (the existence of the latter tag suggests kitsunebi would be okay) and a will-o'-the-wisp wouldn't be, I think the two phenomena are distinct enough to stay separate.
And I kind of like the term kitsunebi.
How does
update fox_fire -> kitsunebi update foxfire -> kitsunebi
(or just manually retag)
and
alias fox_fire -> fox_fire_(disambiguation) alias foxfire -> fox_fire_(disambiguation) category fox_fire_(disambiguation) -> invalid
sound?
