For iPhone you need to literally click on download and it used to pop up on the bottom of the screen if you want to download a video, now it just sends us to the static bit, and I phones can’t download it like that

the JavaScript that the site uses is currently broken on Safari-based browsers on iOS (which is all browsers on iOS, apparently), so you'll have to disable JavaScript support in order to view posts.

They can't do long-press or similar? I find that weird that a browser won't let you download a full-screen image.

Is there any progress on this issue? There's still no download option on my iphone.

If you long-press “Download”, there should be an option to “Download Linked File”, which should work for any media. I’ve had an issue with videos taking over the screen from the little preview window before I can press download, if that happens long-press a different link, hit “Hide preview”, then try again.

Edit: I’m using the desktop site on mobile, by the way
