The bulk update request #7099 is active.

create alias muscleguts (0) -> musclegut (31402)
create alias musclegutt (0) -> musclegut (31402)
create alias musclelgut (0) -> musclegut (31402)
create alias muscles_gut (0) -> musclegut (31402)
create alias musclgeut (0) -> musclegut (31402)
create alias musclgegut (0) -> musclegut (31402)
create alias muscllegut (0) -> musclegut (31402)
create alias muscular_gut (0) -> musclegut (31402)

Reason: a bunch of misspelled versions of the musclegut tag, lets make sure they can't get used again

musclegutchicken, musclegutoverweight_male, and the like, were only used once years ago, and was a typo due to missing a space. I don't think tags that were only misused once a long time ago and aren't a repeated problem need an alias.

Also it seems musclegutlion was intended to be a character or artist tag. The two posts that were tagged it were uploaded and tagged by a user named MusclegutLion; one of a screencap edit he made of an overweight (non-musclegut) wolf anthro, and another a lion he calls his fursona that was also tagged musclegut. Neither seem to have been mistags for musclegut.

Ok, I removed them

create alias muscular_belly (0) -> abs (186207)

I didn't mean it is referring to abs, just that it could be. The name isn't clear if it's referring to musclegut or abs.

Can we limit these typo aliases to only typos that have been used 10 or more times? Arbitrary number, but something like that. These typo BURs are excessive and feel like DDM's BURs planning for things that may not happen (example) . Basically, let's only fix problems that are actually problems instead of searching random tags with wildcards and Hide Empty unticked in Tags Search and calling all those empty mistags problems.

Two more caveats I can think of:

1. Typo tags may get copypasted across image sets, and I would only count those once per set.

2. Older typos are less relevant. Picking one of these tags at random, muscles_gut was used just 4 times, all in 2014. These typos do not reflect the current site. Tag autocomplete functions as an effective autocorrect or spellcheck that prevents a lot of mistags from happening at all. Typos that still happen in spite of autocomplete (i.e., after it was implemented, idk when) are much more relevant than older typos. Autocomplete does not suggest empty tags (after caches clear), so they are not a problem. Autocomplete is, in fact, a good way to spot current typo tags, which should be emptied so the autocomplete won't keep suggesting them. (I will continue to remind everyone that autocomplete changed everything.)

I am trying to suggest a compromise between busywork and helpful solutions.
