The wiki for crotch tuft says: "For characters who are naturally covered in fur, this tag is used to describe extra fur around the genitals which is of similar color and/or texture to the rest of their natural fur. This may also apply for feathers, or any other type of natural body covering of similar color. Not to be confused with pubes, which describes hair in contrasting color or nature to that of a character's natural fur."

I think most people typing pubic_tuft are looking for this rather than pubes (I know I am).

pubic_tuft seems too ambiguous to alias to crotch_tuft, which is specifically when a crotch is visible without genitals but a tuft of fur/feathers in its place. pubic_tuft sounds like it could apply to pubic fur/feathers poking out from underwear or something where the crotch is covered or otherwise not directly visible, or even when genitals are visible.

that's not what the wiki says, and there are 79 pages of crotch_tuft genitals
