but modakawa is the name of the website that makes / sells the dress
they have other outfits there that have and might become popular. would this be the only one to have the honor of sporting the company name

Anybody can make a dress with a hip cutout, this brand doesn't like own the concept. And most people who aren't already familiar won't know what to search or tag to find it. So the *less* distinct name is better imo. But if I'm wrong, also look at hip_cutout
