Topic: Tag deletion: actual_beastiality, not_beastiality, surprise_beastiality

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

I am assuming this is the appropriate forum for this suggestion, my apologies if that is incorrect.

Rationale: all three tags serve no clear purpose, and they are misspelled (beastiality instead of bestiality).

actual_beastiality: existing bestiality tag exists for that reason
not_beastiality: not only does this defeat “tag what you see”, but the common use case would likely be similar to blacklisting the existing bestiality tag
surprise_beastiality: I think combinations of existing tags can achieve the same purpose

If not up for deletion, then at the minimum please consider making the spelling right.

It would if you were using the proper channels to make the suggestion.
Use an alias request or Bulk Update Request (for >2 requests) to suggest for tags to be moved (e.g., alias beastiality -> bestiality) or deleted/invalidated (e.g., alias example_tag -> invalid_tag).

However, in this case, you don't need to make a request on something so trivial (low post count).
If you see a tag that shouldn't be there, just manually Edit the post itself and remove or replace the offending tag.

EDIT: I'll go ahead and remove the tags.

Thank you for looking into it.

Thanks for the feedback, didn’t think of bulk updates for deletion so TIL :)

Surprise_bestiality could likely be aliased to accidental_bestiality.

I thought the same thing when I first read this, but I'm not so sure. There might(?) be a distinction between surprise_* and accidental(ly)_*:
Surprise = the sex act was initiated by someone on an unsuspecting partner
Accidental = the sex was not with who they thought it was or was not intentionally initiated by either character.

At any rate, surprise_bestiality has never been tagged, other than the one typo instance I removed.
