"Libido" is a normal word used in regular conversation. Aliasing it to an artist tag could lead to mistags from people who don't know that libido isn't a valid tag on this website. Same as the issue with animatic being aliased to crittermatic for some time, which led to incorrect conditional_dnp implications when accidentally tagged on animatics. [For some reason, animatic is still an artist tag?]
Would be better for it to be libido_(artist) -> alumx or the other way around, and turn libido into an invalid category or tag [or whatever else we could do with it].

This is a good question to whoever approved the libido artist tag. Should be changed

The only mention I could find linking them together is Libido's twitter saying their sfw was alumx

I think a mass update from libido to alumx could work, and alias libido_(artist) to alumx

Nobody ‘approves’ artist tags. Any user can make a new artist tag and they can call it basically anything, as long as the tag isn’t already in use for something else.

Hey, Libido here.
While I state on my twitter account that Libido is NSFW alt of Alumx, i DO NOT want my nsfw art to be tagged under Alumx
for obvious reasons I wish to keep those names separated, if someone searches for Alumx i do not wish my nsfw work to appear.

Can we revert this change please?

Afterwards, I, or someone, can change alumx rating:e -> -alumx libido_(artist) and that should fulfill the request

Thanks for the headsup on separating your artist tag. That's the sort of thing we need.

Would you like to be verified? This means you'd get a nifty little check mark beside one of your artist tags (probably libido_(artist) since that's the one you've been primarily uploading, but it's up to you) on pictures you upload, making it easier for approvers to know it's yours. It's free, too.

If so, all you need to do is contact site staff via note offsite via one of e621's accounts, telling them your username and artist tag, and that you'd like them linked.
