Topic: Do we want to keep the e621 milestone tag?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

e621 milestone has been used to track id milestones, but is it like, and should it follow tags such as most tagged?

On the topic of e621 milestone, it's just [significant number] + 12, but I feel it's inconsistent because posts 1-12 aren't the only ones to have vanished, the expunged posts shouldn't be counted either

I mean, is it super useful? No. But it's kind of a fun bit of trivia. Does getting rid of it solve any problems? Is it confusing people and getting tagged on random stuff? Does it lead to drama and brigading? If no, then why get rid of it?

In theory, unnecessary tags clog up the tag list and make it harder for people to find more useful or relevant information.

I'm fine with one or two silly little things like these, though.

It seems pretty useless considering that people will naturally gravitate towards milestones by typing the number into the URL, and those will be different posts than what this tag tracks. The +12 thing is not even accurate considering that some post IDs get removed, including old posts getting replaced by newer post IDs. So post number 1000012 is not spiritually the 1000000th post on the site.
