being able to favorite a set, and then later find it again through a favorites page in e6 would be a good alternative to using your browser to bookmark the page to then have it appear in your browser menus. you could also add stats so it will show how many times a set has been marked as favorite.

This would be nice. It would be better than bookmarking (as you've mentioned), favoriting one artwork in the set (and then having to remember that this art has more like it available), and favoriting all art in the set (which is time-consuming and floods your favorites).

i just went through my forum posts because i vaguely just remembered that i may have posted something like this before, and i have. i didnt get any sort of confirmation or denial though so no wonder i didnt remember

Hell, I'd be happy if sets showed up in my prefilled tags list that I filled out in advanced settings.
Sets seem to have problems like these two when used as a tag. I wonder if it's because we're doing it wrong.

I know it's not what is wanted (I love making these little tools), but I made a quick userscript to let you favorite/unfavorite sets and pools. The favorites will show at the top of the listing for either sets or pools. Pool gallery unfortunately is not possible easily, so it only works in the listing. To favorite, just go to the pool/set and click the favorite button, same to unfavorite.

I did this because this is practically a no-priority feature and even if it were PR'd into the site, it probably would be deemed unnecessary...

i didnt think of that before, the site having a proper way to favorite pools would be great! maybe even be notified when a new post is added if its favorited, but maybe thats too much to ask from e6 devs
