Topic: Question about hair made out of fur

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

why shouldnt hair made out of fur count for the hair tag? if you want to get into the details, hair is made out of the same stuff as fur, and all animals have different kinds of fur. hair that appears in a manner like on humans is useful to tag, for example you would tag pubes on a post that has a furry with fur that resembles that kind of hair. theres no use to not tag something that looks like hair.

in the case of this art, its just head_tuft imo.

Yeah makes sense, fur is hair basically. I guess it depends on the amount of fur on the head, as well as its color.

I'll tag head_tuft if the hair is of the same color as the fur and there's not much of it (and no distinct hairstyle is visible). Otherwise I'll tag hair. The wiki for head_tuft explicitly mentions "Not to be confused with: hair". That's why I was confused and started this topic 😁

"Not to be confused with" doesn’t necessarily mean they’re exclusive, just to keep in mind their differences.

Oh, I was thinking it means they're exclusive. Thanks for the info!
