There's also midriff, which seems similar. The wiki for that says it's for an exposed flat/toned midsection, and rounder midsections should use belly instead, but I also remember discussions that belly should apply to all midsections regardless of size. Indeed, exposed_belly seems to have a lot of flat/toned midsections like midriff was intended for, though the wiki for belly hasn't changed and says it's for portlier characters. Should midriff also be aliased to exposed_belly?

Sounds like the other way around.

There's also belly_peeking_out which is very similar to these.

Personally I feel 'midriff' usually implies some amount of intention to it, usually with clothing choices like crop_tops. Common use of it revolves around fashion and clothing. The way it's usually tagged here is actually pretty consistent with it being tagged on images where the exposure is intentional and caused by clothing design. If the definition was tweaked to 'intentional exposure created by clothing design' clean up would be trivial.

Meanwhile 'exposed' includes more topless characters, ripped clothing, wardrobe malfunctions, and unintentional exposure. I do think that making a distinction between 'on purpose' and 'everything else' is useful for both searching and blacklisting.
