Topic: Does a corpse count as a character?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Title, but I just find no definitive answer stating one way or the other if a corpse of a recognizable character counts.

I know random old bones don't count cause you can't determine if it's all belonging to a character, and you can't tell who it is.
What about a dead body of like a yoshi for example though? Say they just had a heart attack and mario's standing over the body in a pic, does that count as duo cause there's two characters? Or just solo cause only mario is alive? (Sorry for the grim example, but you hopefully get that it's hard not to be with the subject matter)

I just wanna stop looking at death stuff, and would like to know cause I'm dedicating to tagging counts in pictures and it comes up enough for me to want to know.

It depends, since corpse can be used on both a recently deceased body and one that has been dead long ago.
If the death was recent, then it can still be considered as a character.
If the "death" was distant, then it should not be considered as a character.

Do note that the death tag only applies to posts showing "a character being killed" and not one that has already been dead for a long time.

I feel like context matters. If the live characters weren't present would it be zero_pictured? Are they reacting to it and treating it like a character? Or is it just kind of a prop or background object?
