create alias speedpaint (225) -> invalid_tag (-11)
create alias speedpainting (34) -> invalid_tag (-11)
create alias speed_art (1) -> invalid_tag (-11)
create alias speedart (36) -> invalid_tag (-11)
create alias speed_painting (3) -> invalid_tag (-11)

Reason: These say absolutely nothing about the visual qualities of a post. It says nothing about what's in them or how good they look. At best it just means the artist made it faster than normal, for some definitions of "normal" and "faster than". It can range from simple, rough full-color drawings to rather intricate and highly detailed art pieces (the description says that's a speedpaint). Some people also seem to use it to mean a timelapse. Since it says nothing about how the image looks, and only very loosely describes the speed of the creation process, it's not a useful thing to have tagged, IMO.

I wasn't sure whether to alias it to invalid_tag, but I can't think of a tag that would be applicable to most speedpaintings. painting_(artwork) is for traditional media, but some speedpaintings are clearly digital media, and they're not necessarily digital media either, there's no reason one can't be done traditionally. Since there's no common visual element to tie them together, invalid_tag is the only thing it can be aliased to.

I agree that tagging "this painting was done quickly" is kind of useless information that can go in the description.

But I think this other BUR would've been better, since even though speedpaint doesn't need to be a tag, it can mean something else, in this case, timelapse/art_progression.

Or just alias it all to art_progression straight away, after leaving out the few pics that would fit the new definition: animated ~speedpaint ~speedpainting ~speedart ~speed_art ~speed_painting

It could be argued wether this kind of content it relevant or not, to which I don't know what to say.

Edit: I prefer aliasing to art_progression, because at a first glance, tagging timelapse or speedpaint seems like the most obvious choice if one doesn't know the correct tag.

The speedpaint wiki already says it's for 'a painting done quickly' and not a timelapse, and given that the number of timelapses tagged as speedpaint is very low (there's only 6 animated posts in the 3 pages of results), I don't think it's worth keeping in the Invalid category where it can still get tagged and need manual checking/removal. Aliasing to art_progression is guaranteed to cause more mistags than not.

Fair enough, I agree so far.

Aliasing to art_progression is guaranteed to cause more mistags than not.

I think it's an exageration, there will be some mistags, but surely people will notice the tag is aliased away if they read the tags while typing, or notice that the tag is being removed from their mistagged posts.

I partially don't care either way, my main reason for wanting the alias is that I assume it would be easier to deal with mistags, than it would be to find untagged posts that would fit under art_progression.
