The tag implication #62315 oral_oviposition -> oviposition is pending approval.
Reason: Oral oviposition is a subclass of oviposition and therefore the latter implied.

oral oviposition states:
Eggs being inserted into the mouth, through esophagus, and ending up in the stomach.
Isn't this just called having breakfast?

wait, I thought that the *_oviposition tags were for when the eggs came out through that orifice, not when they were being put in...

Actually, yes. oral egg insertion is probably more correct here? Hmm.. might need tag clean up.
Oviposition should probably be renamed entirely tbh. I know its the technical term for egg laying in general, but I always associate it with eggs being laid inside another character. It's often used that way in kink stuff (e.g. the oviposition tag on AO3, which is separated from egg laying).

ehh... I dunno, I've never been bothered by the current name, and I feel like changing the *_oviposition tag group to *_egg_laying would sound awkward.
although, we just like, don't seem to have a tag for ovipositing into another character at all?... is egg_transfer meant, that? that tag seems more, like, symmetrical to me, compared to what I think of when I think of what a character would do with an ovipositor.

Egg_transfer *is* technically the correct tag for most situations if it is from one body to another, but it's criminally undertagged and most people opt for egg_insertion instead. Though, in some cases, egg_insertion *isn't* oviposition, according to the wiki definition of it. Such as a character using an egg as a sex toy, or inserting eggs by hand, a la:

I'm voting for oviposition tags in general to be extremely cleaned up or reworked. They're a huge mess right now and a nightmare to navigate! Not all egg-play [oviposition, insertion, etc] related tags will imply egg-play things, and there's no single tag that people can search/blacklist that doesn't also catch false positives that one would catch with egg alone, like eggs existing in the scene or a character posing with an egg.

the *_oviposition tags are less used than the egg_from_* tags (which are the ones that actually imply oviposition).
The wiki for anal oviposition even says its defunct.
I think aliasing these all to egg_from_* would be good, as well as aliasing oviposition to egg_laying.

I don't like this mostly because egg_from_* often gets confused with egg_in_* and both get mistagged a lot as a result. At least something like oral_oviposition is very clear and won't be confused with egg_in_mouth.

oral oviposition reads first to me as eggs being laid into the mouth rather than coming from it, it feels more ambiguous than egg_from_* to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (I don't really see how that would be confused with egg_in_* tbh)

I dunno, when I read "oral oviposition" I think, like, King Piccolo, honestly.
I think preferably we'd be tagging oviposition with tagnames similar to cum_inside and its subtags. so, like, oviposition_in_mouth rather than oral_oviposition.

At that point, I'd rather have the tag be egg_in_mouth and similar. oviposition is often used to mean egg_in_<orifice>, regardless if the egg is going in or coming out, and with a static image it can sometimes be impossible to determine if an egg is going in or coming out (or staying stationary).
