change category thousand_yard_stare (86) -> copyright
create implication thousand_yard_stare (86) -> meme (52968)

It's a meme, although I think it can be discussed wether this tag should be applicable only to pictures clearly referecing the original:

Or any pictures with a clear distante stare, but not exactly facing the viewer:

Most of the posts under this tag are dubious and can be sorted to other tags, meme or not. I also wonder when redraws of a real painting (inspired_by_formal_art) transcend reference status and coalesce into a meme. The term seems to have been coined from the painting's name, and what it describes is an emotionless, blank stare signifying dissociation and likely trauma.

The more I go on about this, the more I think at least the painting should be tagged where it's referenced, Marines_Call_It_That_2,000_Yard_Stare as a copyright tag. That seems very fair and correct. It probably is a meme since it seems to have some virality.

This has made me realize that not only is traumatized a taggable concept but also that it is a tag at all and one with a decent amount of use already. That should see more use with all the dark content we have.
