Reason: These two concepts are independent and cannot be confused. I have checked with several Chinese friends and they said that the translation "loong" is more appropriate
It may be a bit out of format

Not all eastern mythology dragons are chinese, and not all eastern dragons are loong. Nāga from southeast Asia, including dragons like Sisu, are frequently tagged as eastern dragons and are explicitly not loong. There are eastern dragons from Japan, Indonesia, India, as well as plenty of other Asian countries aside from China.

You can even see on the wiki page that the tags "japanese dragon" and "asian dragon" have also been aliased to eastern dragon. It's more of an umbrella tag for asian inspired dragons, rather than specifically loong. Due to its usage, it'd likely be best for the wiki to be updated to reflect this.

If anything, loong should rather be a term that *implies* the eastern dragon tag, rather than being the entirety of the eastern dragon tag. Otherwise, stuff like Nāga or the crowned dragons of Bali would be improperly named and categorized.

Also, this topic has come up before, and has been said on your own thread that "eastern dragon" encompasses more than just loong.

Updated

subjectively speaking, this will break the ties with western dragon tag.
loong is just romanization of 'dragon' in chinese , meanwhile eastern dragon could be applied to other east asian countries besides china. look at japanese, korean, or vietnamese dragon wikipedia pages that all share conventional "loong" appearance, which is worthwhile to keep it as eastern dragon tag.

This is not how you request a tag alias, use request alias instead. Otherwise, your suggestion does not get processed.
