yeah, it's really only gender affirming if their, y'know, gender is being affirmed.

I-- I don't know what direction we sould go with this one. I feel like sex_reassignment_surgery is technically the most neutral and accurate term but it's kinda fallen out of use... if we wanted to go really colloquial we could call it bottom_surgery, I feel like that's a pretty well-known term, but at the same time...

Also a ton of posts under sex reassignment surgery don't feel very twys; it's either lore, a passing comment, or just scars from the surgery

hot take: whatever gender surgery tag we go for should imply surgical_operation if we don't want people to tag posts that are just post-op scars or simple acknowledgements that a character in a pic earned their dick

Or forced upon them, in which case it could be considered gender-denying surgery despite looking the same from a TWYS standpoint.

Seems to me this is an example of why tag names in general should not contain overtly subjective elements -- we just aren't aiming to tag those (even in lore tags, really), and it tends to produce incorrect or even absurd implications. Being clinical is probably more correct even if we have to use outdated language in order to do so.
