Topic: Lack of Code Geass art.

Posted under Art Talk

Hello everyone, I am Waverun, and this is my first forum post on E621. I introduce you to a long time frustration that I have with this site that involves the two most favorite shows Iv'e ever seen in my life: Code Geass, and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. The Lack of Code Geass art which I thought was going to be a huge amount of it, but sadly, isn't. So, I'll explain to you my problem, why I can't fix it myself, and try to motivate any, and or EVERYONE who makes and posts art on E621, to fix it since I am physically, and, in terms of patience and tolerance, unable to.

Part one: The Problem of concern.

I don't get why there is so little Code Geass art on the site. Do you know how many pictures could have been made of it on this site instead of just 35 pictures? There just needs to be more Code Geass art on this site! For it's popularity among us Human Being in the Real World, I don't see why there isn't a whole lot of art of it on the site. As a matter of fact, I posted one Crossover art picture between Lelouch Vi Britannia and Rainbow Dash, but for SOME reason, because my art SUCKED too much, it got deleted! WHY?!? I was doing it to help create more art of it! Whoever deleted it didn't understand that I was trying to do it because there's so little art of that Wonderful Anime and it's Characters! And to make it more emotionally crushing for me, that picture was an example of the BEST I can do in terms of making digital art with Gimp 2.8, the best image editing software that I could get!

Part 2: The reason why I can't create more art with you all thus why I can only motivate you all:

I can't exactly draw the art myself because my mouse always messes up the drawing! Here's why: My mouse has a problem where it always sticks to the mouse-pad so unluckily effectively, and therefore gets stuck on one place of the mouse-pad so much, that I have to actually apply force move it off of the part of the mouse-pad it's stuck to and I end up doing that so hard that not only does it move off of where it's stuck to, but it jerks away from that part and as a result, it ruins line that I'm trying to draw long before I even have a chance to finish the line and shape I'm drawing so I can color the whole thing in! And as a result I don't make any progress because I keep having to erase it and then re-draw it and the mouse-pad gets stuck in a different spot again, and again, and again and again, and the process repeats itself INFINITELY, like both the mouse and the mouse-pad are sentient being who hate me so much, that they work together to make me fail and give up, and it's extremely frustrating! Now, if that weren't a problem, which it always has been, I would draw and color the art myself! But no matter what, it will just keep happening, and it won't stop and I don't know how to cope with it, and I don't know any solutions to that problem!

Part 3: What makes the frustration, into degradation by others.

If it weren't every MINUTE or so often that after one artist uploads a good picture on this site, the next minute He posts another picture that looks really good and it makes it seem like Him/Her, along with so many other people on E621 can make art better than me and much faster than me! Now, the question is this: How is it not time consuming for them?!?! Here's the second question: Since it's apparently so easy and hardly time consuming AT ALL for them to make art and post it on this site, then why aren't people like Slugbox, and koveliana, and even sssonic2 (Who is a MASTER at crossover art from What I've seen. Keep up the good work Sssonic2, hope you can help fix the problem at hand.) making and posting really good art of two of the BEST TELEVISION SHOWS IN HISTORY(That's in My opinion)?!? And I'm obviously talking about Code Geass, and My Little Pony. It deserves as much art on this site as My Little Pony Does!

Part 4: The worse is yet to come. (No offense to any furries on this site or the site's motivation or purpose intended.)

Yet for some reason, despite all of the crossovers between My Little Pony and other shows, there are hardly even a few pictures of crossovers between My Little Pony and Code Geass and it makes, no, Sense, other than the only reason for it being so is because too many people are wrapped up in making art of FURRY ART OF CODE GEASS, and Code Geass Characters with animal costumes on, which is what almost all of the pictures of Code Geass on this website are! Almost, all, 35 pictures of Code Geass! Just pictures of Code Geass Characters wearing animal ear headbands and painted whiskers on their cheeks! But only some of the pictures of Code Geass involve My Little Pony, and most of it is just My Little Pony Characters taking the role of the Characters from Code Geass, with the powers too, which I don't have a problem with, but I'm taking about actual crossovers! Not just My Little Pony characters taking the role, outfits, and even powers of the Code Geass Characters, or the Code Geass Characters ponified, I'm talking about actuall Crossovers! Like, Lelouch or Suzaku, or Nunnally, or Any Code Geass characters, being in the world of Equestria, as the humans that they ARE, or the Characters from My Little Pony, being in the world of Code Geass, as the PONIES that THEY are, but both, INERACTING with eachother, as the species that they separately are! The same can be said for any crossovers made with Code Geass and something else! Anthrofied Ponies is fine, sssonic2, but as long as they remain the Ponies that they are, with all the wings, and/or horns, and cutie marks, and tails, and muzzle, and ears, and all that!

Part 5: Motivation time!

But despite my complaining, It's all in the name of expressing how I feel, because I have autism, and it makes it EXTREMELY hard for me to verbally express how I feel or verbally explain situations or explaining things with my words. I don't mean to offend anyone, I really don't. I just want change. It's as Lelouch Himself said If you just go on accepting things in life, nothing will change. please, The E621 site needs more Code Geass art, because It hasn't been shown the light of kindness for such a long time, and unfortunately, I can't help with that, because I suck at actually drawing digitally and there's too much time consuming practice that I'll have to go through with Gimp 2.8 before I actually get good enough at it to match the perfection of the artists' BRILLIANT art skills on this site! That, and the pictures that I draw in real life of those things are hard to actually take a decent photo of that can actually be seen on a computer without anything like shadows getting in the way or the picture's drawing being to bright to see without it being able to fix. So, sketches can't be done and that's the only thing I'm good at in terms of real non-digital art.

part 6: Hope and plans

So for now, until I find a way, that doesn't cost money PER GOSH DAMN MONTH, *cough, cough* ADOBE PHOTOSHOP *cough, cough* that My Grandparents (a.k.a, My legal gaurdians, and Yes, I'm living with them until I can afford a house of my own.) can't pay (and I don't have a credit-card of my own so paying for it myself is out of the question), and actually has a working tutorial so I don't have to figure everything out as I go along which can make me really frustrated when I have to find everything out as I go along, all I can do is explain my problem and hope that some Code Geass AND My Little Pony fan, or group of fans of those, or even good artists from this site will recognize my problem and the lack of art of the two most awesome shows I've ever seen in my life, and do what they can about it, and maybe even motivate all of you guys to do something about it since I suck so bad at doing it myself as much as I actually TRY to do it.

part 7: Conclusion

Thank you all so much for reading this really long
Short Story-like post. I just hope I can motivate you all to give the Code Geass Anime the light and kindness it truly deserves on this site. It deserves to be more than it is now in this site! More Pictures of Code Geass crossovers that involve My Little Pony, as the species that they separately are, not the Code Geass characters as Ponies or the My Little Pony characters as Code Geass Characters, but, how it should be, with interaction between the characters or objects from BOTH worlds, as the separate species that each of them are: Code Geass characters: Human, and My Little Pony characters: Ponies! That, in my opinion, is what would truly shed the kindness of E621 to the world of Code Geass, since it has no true furries in the show. My Little Pony and Code Geass Crossovers, FOREVER!!!
Sincerely, Waverun.

You...put an inordinate amount of thought into this post. o.o;

Also, I'd like to point out to you that Code Geass in its original form could easily be considered irrelevant to the site. If you're looking for art of that anime you're welcome to head to the places that produce work of said anime in its original state.

i wasn't even aware that there was porn of code geass here at e621.

also, nice text wall ya have there. i'd read through it all but from what i can tell it may be summed up as "not enough code geass and/or code geass mlp crossover pics here"

because I have autism, and it makes it EXTREMELY hard for me to verbally express how I feel or verbally explain situations or explaining things with my words.

Well uhh, good thing you seem more than capable of compensating for this through writing. Holy crap. :/

Anyway, Code Geass x MLP pictures might be approved because of the inclusion of ponies, but I have no idea why anyone would start drawing Lelouch screwing Rainbow Dash. Though then again, I've seen weirder things so who knows.

Not trying to be rude when I say this, but honestly if you want something that might be considered niche drawn you have three options. Draw it yourself, commission it, or find an artist who draws stuff like this and ask them if they do freebies. Sounds like option 1 isn't really going to work for you, which is fine. For option 3, don't be upset if you get a lot of "no" answers.

So far as I know it's fine to post requests on a site like this, but I highly doubt you'll get any serious results here. Perhaps try a code Geass forum? I know the FA forums have a pretty active "free art" section where you're likely to have more luck.

I can't exactly draw the art myself because my mouse always messes up the drawing! Here's why: My mouse has a problem where it always sticks to the mouse-pad so unluckily effectively, and therefore gets stuck on one place of the mouse-pad so much

I feel your pain, I used to play a lot of FPS games and a tiny inadvertent movement can literally become a life or death situation. It depends on your exact mouse/mousepad/software setup, but there might be some options:

  • Clean the bottom of the mouse. Your hands sweat, which leaves behind residue. That combined with anything that happens to be on your hands will build up over time. For myself, a very lightly moistened (water) paper towel will work well enough to clean the majority of gunk or dust off the bottom, but YMMV. I'd recommend a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol to clean the laser part on the bottom as well (assuming you don't have a ball mouse, if those still exist).
  • Get a different mousepad. I actually prefer to go without one but you may feel differently (it also depends on the wood/material you are using whether this is even an option). You can clean it sometimes, but often they just get worn down over time and just need to get replaced. Dollar stores often sell them, if you happen to have one near you.
    • Don't know if you need to replace the mousepad? Tape a piece of printer paper to the desk and try using it on that. If it's still sticking or jerky it's likely that it's the mouse itself.
  • I don't know what your mouse is like, but it might be worth trying a different one. Mouses tend to get worse over time and it may be time to get a new one. Cheap Microsoft mouses are surprisingly decent for the price if you have cash to spare for a new one. I don't know much about which ones are better for drawing, but a cheap decent one would be a good start.

I don't know anything about that Code Gease stuff though, I don't think I've ever seen it. Good luck with your search all the same.

Yeah.

It's rather hard to care about your lamenting over a lack of anime crossover art, actually.
