These three groups are all called "shrews" but are not true shrews. In the past that was used as a justification to alias them to names that aren't commonly used (topic #22039), on the grounds that people might get confused. I would argue that it's more confusing to have these unfamiliar names as species tags (sengi admittedly has some use, but elephant shrew is the more common name).

In addition to renaming things this is also fixing the placement of otter shrews on the tree; they have relatively recently been recognized as a full, separate group within Afrosoricidae rather than a type of tenrec.
