The bulk update request #8547 has been rejected.

create alias chin_strap (6) -> chinstrap (4)

Reason: Alias the two-word form to the single word.

I am pretty sure they both mean the same thing - a narrow band fastened to a hat or helmet that goes under the wearer's chin to keep it from falling off their head.

The two-word form is currently more popular on e621, but the single-word form is the primary entry in the OED and Wiktionary .

Either way works, so long as it's consistent/aliased to the canon spelling.
