Topic: Posting deleted paysite content that is now public

Posted under General

I've seen recommendations in this forum to never repost deleted content, mostly in reference to changes in DNP and CDNP status. What about content that was deleted before it was released to the public? For instance https://inkbunny.net/s/2850647 is the public release of https://e621.net/posts/3287820. (It's mildly different too, not a webm, and not a sound edit)

Is this clear for reposting, or do I need to contact the admins somehow?

Never repost the same file that has already been uploaded to e621. This is because if the image is allowed to be on e621 again, the staff can undelete the original post. Your post will always be either a duplicate/reupload of a deleted post.

And just because it's now released to the public doesn't necessarily mean the previous post can be undeleted

In this case the file is a lower quality gif. The high quality is still paysite afaict. So I'm good to upload it?

If you still need clarification on what is okay to upload and what is not:

  • If the post is paysite content, don't upload it.
  • If the post was paysite content but is now released to the public, you may upload it (provided the exact same file isn't already here on e6 as a deleted post).
    • If it already exists on e6 as a deleted post, send a request to an admin to restore the post. If you try to upload something that already exists on e6, you will get an error upon uploading.
    • If you knowingly upload something that was previously deleted or deliberately manipulate the file to bypass the error, you will get slapped for Posting Abuse.
  • If the post was public content but is now paysite content, don't upload it.

As far as I can tell, all variations of https://inkbunny.net/s/2850647 have already been uploaded here on e6, see post #3672142 and its children.
So what exactly are you trying to upload here?
