Both the tags tended to get very veiny penises and not-so-veiny penises tagged.

That being said, I had no idea vein was a tag and you may be right on this. Fortunately there were only ~70 tagged, and most of them were fairly veiny, so not much harm done there.

I'd be opening to moving the alias -> vein for future taggers.

That's the first I've heard of it. The wiki definition was added a few months back, but there hasn't been any discussion about the tag (as far as I can find, anyway).

It tends to be mostly tagged for prominent penis veins, even if there's only one. Such as:
