EDIT: The bulk update request #8931 (forum #414549) has failed: Error: Alias would modify other aliases or implications through transitive relationships. (create alias alpha_(derideal) -> adres_(derideal))

removed implicate alpha_(derideal) -> derideal alias alpha_(derideal) -> adres_(derideal)
because I don't know which is the correct name, but they do look like the same character?

I did some quick looking around. It seems likely they may be for the same character.

Adres is the main character, and apparently their species/creatureness is some form of 'apha'. And while that sounds ambiguously broad on the surface, it doesn't look like it's actually used for a bunch of other characters like a species would. In fact, this one character is often called 'alpha' by the artist almost as if it's a nickname.

Some of this is on the main site here https://derideal.com/codex/category/codexcharacters/

'alpha' being used like a nickname by the artist for their 'main character' (which is adres) here:

https://www.deviantart.com/kiaun/art/Alpha-Derideal-791259232
https://www.deviantart.com/kiaun/art/Derideal-Alpha-design-961618818
EDIT: and here they explicitly use the two names as synonyms for the character saying "Alpha/Adres is the main character of my webcomic Derideal..." while showing a humanized concept art of the character: https://www.deviantart.com/kiaun/art/Alpha-Derideal-concept-723934105

Also searching on their site for art with these terms:
'adres' = https://media.derideal.com/index.php?/search/psk-20240828-cTi1qqdtgV
'alpha' = https://media.derideal.com/index.php?/search/psk-20240828-A4DMTrbEnG

And while I see some variance in style and details... it also overlaps and uses both tags on some of the same images. So maybe just different points in the storyline/art-journey.

So I think you can probably treat them as the same character and alias the tags together. Probably pick 'adres' to be the name since that looks more like their actual character name and not just a nickname. (However, I have never read the comic and I only did some quick digging, so if there's some subtler nuance, I could have missed something.)
