Is there a program or browser extension that can save the original images from this site, along with some tags?

re621 (topic #25872) has the ability to download files both individually and bulk downloading pools, favorites and searches, it puts a small selection of the tags in the file name of the downloaded file by default - e.g. post #4928241 becomes "4928241-marblesoda-target_corporation-spot_(jayrnski)-canid-canine-canis-domestic_dog-mammal.jpg" - though in the settings this appears to be completely customisable for whatever format you want.

I don't really use its downloading features so I can't exactly recommend it for that, but everything else I've used it for is great so it's probably worth trying.

Hydrus can, though I haven't tried it myself. Most downloaders just grab the posts without tags, like the one built into RE621.

Ah, didn't know RE621 had any tag inclusion at all, neat.

Raccoony can download images from e621 and other sites, including FA. It can optionally create a text file for each image, with the tags and other information in it - turn on "save metadata file" in the options.

Unfortunately, Raccoony may or may not work on Chrome at the moment. I just tried it on Firefox and it still works OK there, including the metadata download.

Might as well save any content you like since the mods have made the decision that they can just ban whatever content they feel like. Things are going to start slowly disappearing.
