Aliasing looking → invalid_tag
"Link to alias": None. Looking is aliased with look, can't use the tool.

Reason:

Way too ambiguous.
Any character with open eyes is always looking somewhere.

This has already been sorted out, and there was nothing that didn't fit under more specific tags.
The alternative would be to make a disambiguation page. It had a mix of looking_at_viewer, looking_back, looking_away, looking_at_penis, looking_at_self, looking_up, looking_down, eye_contact, and... staring and glare/glaring. Those last three are also a bit vague.

I don't know about stare and glare/glaring (aka angry stare), but we should at least alias glare -> glaring (to differentiate between something like light glare such as on the goggles of post #69083). Else just alias both to stare and assume that angry + stare will work fine.

Oh, and looking_at_penis probably needs an implication to penis. The only usage I can think of which might confuse things are when someone is looking into their pants or something... though I'm both not sure if I would actually tag that looking_at_penis anyways or if that even exists here.

Summary:

• Alias: looking -> invalid_tag
• Alias: glare -> glaring
• OR Alias: glare, glaring -> stare
• Implication: looking_at_penis -> penis

Took quite a while to dig this up. Searching the forums for 'looking' gets way too many results.

Is anyone against this? If not, could this be done before it gets buried again?

Yeah. It gets tagged for various things, or for no particular reason sometimes. I kept forgetting about this one.

That sounds like a good idea. Even though it's invalidated, you're still welcome to use the looking wiki page for this.

I was thinking renaming it into looking_(disambiguation), like some other tags that share the same concept, instead of making it an invalid_tag.

So that taggers can actually see the wiki and tag their posts with the proper tags needed(if they even care).
