Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: pseudo-penis -> pseudo-penis_(lore)

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #71991 pseudo-penis -> pseudo-penis_(lore) has been rejected.

Reason: Being able to tell the difference requires outside knowledge. On top of that, people like to make anthro yeens with pseudo-peens based on humanoid or canine dicks, so even if you know the difference between a hyena clitoris and penis, it might not apply to that character. And that's not even addressing hybrids or fantasy species.

EDIT: The tag alias pseudo-penis -> pseudo-penis_(lore) (forum #416757) has been rejected by @slyroon.

Regsmutt's argument does seem valid; it is very difficult to tell, for most existing posts, between a pseudo-penis and an actual penis. Just using TWYS, most instances of pseudo-penis would be tagged penis instead.
The current use is mostly TWYK, but messes with gender tagging which should be almost purely TWYS.
That said, the lore category is also fairly restricted. Are there some better options?

I don't love the currently proposed solution, although I don't currently have a better one. I acknowledge that the argument holds some merit, there does seem to be some overtagging going on with pseudo-penis, but to me something like the below doesn't feel like it'd warrant a penis tag:

If the character wasn't a hyena, would you be able to tell that was a pseudo-penis instead of either urethral_penetration or a penis_tip_pussy? Like here:

Alright, if people don't like this solution, let's see some alternatives.

Status quo: let people tag pseudo-penis by TWYK. On its own that wouldn't be that bad. However, people use it to determine gender, which should be TWYS. This is not really viable.

Solution 1: make pseudo-penis count as a penis for the purpose of determining gender. In some ways, this is the easiest solution; no BUR required. This would definitely cause some tag wars, but any solution does, including the status quo. This is effectively the same as the alias request above, just without needing to also tag penis and without needing the alias.

Solution 2: invalidate pseudo-penis. If it's not TWYS, is the tag necessary? I don't like this one, but it is an option.

Solution 3: Restrict the use of pseudo-penis to cases where it is clear that it actually is one. This would make it invalid on the vast majority of posts where it is currently applied, but does solve the issue.

number 3 is the obviously correct one.

Well, if you go ahead and do that, make sure to keep a set of posts it's removed from.

To be fair this is also unrealistic when it comes to how pseudopenis penetration typically works; it needs to be fully-retractedretraction being not a mechanism artists often depict to be penetrable. I imagine it's possible in theory to penetrate and then un-retract the pseudopenis but I'd have to imagine as soon as the penis leaves the vagina proper (which begins in the usual area, with the external orifice itself shifting in a similar manner to accurate canine pussy) it's highly likely to slip out of the pseudopenis.

This is aside from pointing out that the scrotum being

  • bald
  • visibly containing testicle-shaped protrusions

are both indicators of a spotted hyena being male under realistic standards.
