Topic: Tag Alias: evil_smile -> evil_grin

If not aliasing it needs cleaning and proper wiki pages explaining the difference, they are clearly not used for different things at the moment and if smile is discernible from grin, shouldn't evil_grin imply grin and not smile?

smile =/= grin

grin /ɡɹɪn/ (noun)

* a broad smile.

In other words, A grin is a smile but a smile isn't necessarily a grin (grin ∈ smile).

  • For an evil smile that isn't a grin, see post #159766 (closest I could find on short notice anyways, the "evil" is less on the mouth and more on the eyes on this one, but I think you get the idea)
  • For a perfect example of an evil grin, I'm going to have to point to Freaky Fred (just for lulz. Granted this somewhat overlaps with rape_face, which is already kind of vague as it is.

Not that I think both are worth keeping, but they definitely overlap enough that an alias would probably be okay. Though an implication from evil_grin -> grin -> smile might also be something to consider.

Edit: This was approved at some point, but I must have forgot to reply. See also forum #171711
