Topic: Own Image Removal/Deletion

Posted under e621 Tools and Applications

Is there a way to delete or remove my own posts? I am currently having a personal Watermark designed and intend to apply it to all my pieces before reposting them to the public.

I wonder if the replacement feature would work for this. Though adding a watermark might stop it from passing because it would be counted as inferior/duplicate

Replacements are approved manually by moderators, so as long as it's being done for a valid reason, I don't see why it couldn't work. If the original is going to end up deleted anyway, it doesn't make much difference to do it as a replacement instead since it would otherwise be the same image, just with a watermark the artist wants it to have.

Wasn't the 'watermarks' rule because of obnoxious sites that would scrape galleries, slap their site logo on it, then someone who didn't know any better uploading it here? Artist signatures or URLs are technically a 'watermark', as used in this topic, but not against the rules, though?

That rules about third-party watermarks, which are added by sites that the art may be uploaded to. iFunny is an example given, sites that people upload art to and who will slap their own logo on it even though they had nothing to do with making the art. It would also include the DeviantArt logo that DA slaps on the center of some images.
