Topic: What's going on with U18chan?

Posted under Off Topic

Site's been down for like 2-3 weeks, their twitter has apparently been dead since 2019. I go to U18 cuz they update comics faster than Ehentai (and I just like the way comics are posted/laid out more), so it's been incredibly annoying for it to be down this long, especially with being unable to find any info on the issue anywhere.

Anyone got any info on what the heck is going on?

Yea I saw the news about that trying to google things myself, but the impression I got was that it'd been more or less solved back then. Guess I was mistaken; I never had issues loading the site over the summer until it just died completely a couple weeks ago so my assumption was it had been fixed and all was well and this was a new issue.

Was there a specific reason for the attack or was it just trolls being trolls?

Beingn a chan is reason enough tbh

That site's name. And no, I'm not spelling it out. XD

"Chans are constantly attacked?"

Chans (or IRC servers or forums or whatever) ban a troublesome user, then said user 'gets revenge' by being an even bigger failure than when they got banned in the first place.

I checked the site and it's working normally for me, Maybe they installed a working anti-ddos system or became read only

I remember some guy started a 4chan clone (not 8chan) after some dumb fucking drama on the site and it ended up with his site getting hacked and the dude sticking a sharpie in his ass as part of the ransom that the hackers demanded. I guess the moral is that you should never run an image board
