Topic: Kind Of Nervous To Upload A Commission I Had Done

Posted under General

Apparently uploads need 10 tags? Or it gets deleted, & repeat offenses can be grounds for bannings?
I can't think of 10 tags to attribute to a character image with nothing going on in it. Seriously; It's just a character image. 1 character doing nothing because the image exists just to point at it and say 'This is what he looks like'. o.o

(Also, while looking at the feedback list; Any feedback hyperlinking 'Uploading guidelines' is a broken link. This is what it links to: https://e621.net/help_uploading_guidelines)

It does not get deleted for lack of tags. Worst that can happen is neutral record telling you to use more tags (unless you of course keep doing the same thing over and over again)

Check this page for help with tags:
https://e621.net/help/tagging_checklist

You can tag stuff like what the background is like, what color the character's body, eyes and hair are, how many fingers and toes they have, what expression they have, what they are wearing and so on. There is whole ton of things to tag even for single character images.

There are so many tags you can use

https://e621.net/posts/5067972

Like this is just a headshot but has 35 tags.

Easiest tags are things like eye color, fur/feather/scale colors, are they sitting, standing etc? Species, artist, and character tags count. And meta tags too!

Things like what year it was made, is it digital or traditional, etc!

The 10 tag limit doesn't apply if there really isn't much to tag, but look at these examples for how even simple posts can end up with >10 tags: Oh wait, the policy is 10 General tags... Well, I guess these are unintended example of exceptions that can get away with <10 tags then... Now the Totodile post has >10 General tags

Though afaik currently the 10 tag limit is for general tags not part of implication chains, so the totodile image would not meet the requirements.

You're right, I noticed that after commenting.

...And now it has >10 because Alien Fluff added some tags.

That doesn't even make sense, lol.
Anyways, the correct link should be https://e621.net/help/uploading_guidelines.

I believe that is an error on the template @binaryfloof is using.
