The tag alias #72958 nigiri -> nigirizushi is pending approval.

Reason: Commonly used shortening of this word. Nigiri is the word I always see at sushi restaurants in the US, not nigirizushi.

I know nigiri is a shortening, but if it's the more common term (in English speaking countries), shouldn't it be reversed?

I wonder if we should come up with a different tag name altogether to make it more obvious what it is. As someone from the US, it's not a word I'm familiar with, and looking at the results for "sushi -nigiri -nigirizushi", it seems many other people aren't either. And we should avoid obscure foreign words if there's a better english term that can be used. There's also apparently a character named nigiri.
