Yesterday i was trying to add tags of my characters and artist name, the characters are fine but the artist tag g1g1 is gone now for some reason, is it ok if i make it again? Did i do something wrong? Also, about my edits, is that a problem with the mods, im too bad at using this website im like a boomer equivalent of this generation, also, how can i direct more quickly my questions to mods without having to depend on fate making so that a mod sees this thread?

Honestly anyone with good answers can help, but if a mod is here it would perhaps be better i suppose

You can check who removed the tag with the tag changes page.

My best assumption for why they were removed and replaced was because of an assumption of tag griefing (by others) or wanting to round up all the posts under one tag (since I assume you're the artist for all of them)

You can request an alias to have all your other names point to the main name you want to use for your art.

You can alias bsmasulauch to g1g1 or vice versa. (I assume they're both your artist names?)

Yes, the "from" "to" is referring to the change right, do i just type it as bsmasulauch or do i have to add bsmasulauch_(artist) or anything speical like that to indicate what i want to change?

You need the tag name, and only the tag name. So if you're aliasing from bsmasulauch to g1g1, you put the former (no need for *_(artist) or additional text) in the from box and the latter in the to box. This redirects all instances of the former to the latter.

Also, i said thanks but that doesn't mean the end of thread, although with an alias, i still don't know if i could make the g1g1 tag, this is just a disclaimer, not directed to you SNPthecat, also, how can i contact a mod if needed in case i don't get an answer about that, i looked over the contact option at the bottom but it seems like it is for serious stuff through email

There are a couple options to reach out: you can dmail staff, you can make a forum post (as you're currently doing), or you can ask on the discord

If there is a problem with tag warring (you add a tag, they remove a tag, repeat ad infinitum), you can report the post for tag abuse.

In this current situation I think you've placed a bit too much significance on them removing a tag and replacing it with what they believe to be the correct tag. I highly doubt there'll be much fuss if you manually replaced the artist tags on the 6 posts.

Yes, all users (provided their account is more than a week old) can edit tags. Most tag edits are by the community (non staff). However in this case the edits were made by [person]. Under every post there is a button named Tags/Desc, with which you can check the tag history.

I would like to disabuse you of the notion that the mod sees your tag as a nuisance.

Odd, it was a mod who removed the tag from what i can understand of the tag history, also, even if it is me making a mess of edits trying to create a tag?because thats why i think it would be a nuisance
