Topic: (BUR) serving_tray, waiter_tray and server_tray? (and trays, trays, trays)

The bulk update request #9592 is pending approval.

create alias waiter_tray (129) -> serving_tray (817)
create alias server_tray (9) -> serving_tray (817)

Reason: So I noticed three (or four) tags for same thing:
1) serving_tray : 792 post (no wiki)
2) server_tray : seven posts (no wiki)
3) waiter_tray : 127 posts (no wiki)

plus 4) tray wiki seems a bit ambiguous and seems to be used for SOME images with a serving tray (BUT there are OTHER trays, see Wikipedia section below). tray wiki starts with "A tray, more specifically a serving tray, is a flat, shallow receptacle with raised sides, typically used for carrying food and drink. Trays may also be used to hold and carry other small objects, but are most often seen in the context of carrying plates, cups, etc."

tray wiki doesn't list any other types of trays, and includes tray tags holding_tray and breasts_on_tray.

No tags currently imply (or alias) to tray.

***

Suggest aliasing waiter_tray (and server_tray) to serving_tray.
Since person with tray could be a bar worker, other employee, or a NON-employee serving friends at their home, or other.

isn't much help, but does have photo with description "Waiter with waitperson service tray"
That Wikipedia page includes examples of trays (starting with food trays):
1) "butler's tray" : "often has a gallery, or deeper surround, handles on the long sides to facilitate carrying ..., and a portable stand with folding legs."
2) "cafeteria tray" (customer carries it, in my opinion)
2b) "A compartment tray or mess tray" with "shallow compartments in which different types of food are placed"
3) "molded pulp tray" (for disposable cups) (Wikipedia page includes example image)
4) "baking tray or oven tray" (Wikipedia page includes example image)
5) "Food packaging trays" (three main types)

6) "cargo tray" (don't remember seeing one ... apparently at the back of utility vehicles)
7) "coin tray"
8) "darkroom tray"
9) "dental impression tray"
10) "Seed trays" (Wikipedia page includes example image)
11) "Surgical trays"

(i seem to recall woman selling cigarettes from a tray or thing similar to a tray)

Ok, I've been juggling too many thing and have to go out/offline now.
Hopefully this will do for now.

That's what people in Australia, and maybe other places, call what Americans would call the "bed" of a pickup truck.

That used to be a job in bars and nightclubs, until the people were replaced by robots.
