ambiguous_gender is the tag you should be using for characters whose gender is not apparent based on the image. TLDR, if there's no genitals or breasts to say otherwise, it's usually ambiguous.
intersex is a tag used for all those gender tags that aren't male, female, null, or ambiguous. Gynomorphs, andromorphs, herms + maleherms. You're probably not going to ever tag intersex on safe rated images, since you can't see their genitals to confirm that they are intersex.
Notably, there's never a reason to tag intersex by itself. It refers to characters that are gynomorph, andromorph, herm, or maleherm (that have a combination or male and female genitals, including breasts), and those tags will automatically add intersex when used. There's never a need to add intersex manually. If you click on the ? next to the intersex tag on a post (or on any of the highlighted links for the word here), it will take you to its wiki page, which explains what the tag is and what it's used for.

strikethrough is invaild i not know because when tag not warning intersex/male i think can interacting only sex ? but i understand is can use is no sex ? ps invaild tag has many some people can not remember all of them i don t want break rule but reading some rule maybe make me some mistake and accident breaking rule by unresolved sorry
judging your tagging record, you are inaccurately adding these tags on safe posts when it's used for sexual/romantic activity between characters, not so that they're friends or in other platonic relationship.
if you see any sexual/romantic activity between ambiguous gender and male character, tag male/ambiguous (which isn't available as a button so type it out).
it's also not used to refer the duo characters either, it's for the aforementioned sexual activity.

Are you sure the pairing tags of */* or *_on_* are exclusively sexual (and doesn't include romantic interactions)?

no, i didn't said it tightly. i've edited it though.
intersex is a tag for characters who have sexual traits of both a male and female, either having a both a vagina and penis or having the genitals that don't "match" how their body looks. ambiguous_gender is for characters who lack visible sexual traits to be able to lable the character as other genders.
it's kinda like intersex is "both", where as ambigouous is more like "neither".
also, you've been adding pairing tags (like intersex/male and intersex/intersex) to posts where they don't seem to fit. thse tags are for characters who are interacting romantically or sexually, not just characters being friends or just interacting in general. so, for example:
post #4844841 probably deserves the female/female tag,
post #4465949 does not.
As a note, the "intersex" tag family as a whole is currently under heated debate over what to do with it, because its current meaning on the site is contradictory to the actual meaning of the word.
If a character is genuinely intersex in the sense that the term actually refers to, use intersex_(lore).

Intersex means a character that has a penis and a vagina, or female character that has a penis, or male character that has a vagina. None of the characters in that post fit those criteria because there is no penises or vaginas in the image.

okay, I think I understand the problem.
the example you gave would be ambiguous/ambiguous, which isn't on the selection of pairing tags in the upload form.
this is just one of the problems with that page, it's got a few of 'em... it's not really great at making the tagging system more understandable, especially in situations like this, where it just omits options for no clear reason. (I think the reasoning was that they didn't want to include all 33 possible combinations on the page, but still...)
Please take a moment to read The How-To Guide to Tagging Genders to understand how the various genders are tagged on this site.
If you are unsure or do not understand the meaning of a tag, do not tag it. Check the wiki first (by clicking on the "?" next to the tag) and read the tag definition.
If you want to know whether you have made an error in your tagging, check your tagging history and see if there are any strike-through tags (i.e., +intersex/intersex).
That means somebody else has removed the tag you have added due to it being erroneous and not suitable for the post in question.
In your case, you have been adding intersex and intersex/intersex into posts that do not feature any intersex characters.
Firstly, intersex is for single individuals who simultaneously have a mix of both male and female sexual characteristics (e.g., penis, vagina, breasts).
Secondly, intersex/intersex is for when at least two intersex characters are interacting romantically or sexually.
When you cannot definitively determine the gender of the character (either due to obscured/lack of genitalia or having an androgynous body), please use ambiguous_gender and ambiguous/ambiguous instead.
They function similarly to the two tags mentioned before, but are instead used for characters who have an unknown or undetermined gender.
Example Tagging Scenarios
- 1) You see one male and one female. They not interacting with one another (like strangers) or are just casually chatting with each other (like siblings or friends).
- Tag with male and female.
- Do not tag with male/female as they are not interacting romantically or sexually with one another.
- 2) You see one male, one female, and another female. They are not interacting with each other whatsoever and are just enjoying their time at the beach.
- Tag with male and female.
- Do not tag with male/female or female/female as they are not interacting romantically or sexually with one another.
- Do not tag with intersex as that is reserved for characters with both male and female sexual characteristics.
- 3) You see one character with an unknown gender. They do not have any visible genitals or secondary sexual characteristics, and appears to be androgynous.
- Tag with ambiguous_gender.
- Do not tag with male, female, or intersex as you need to be able to visually confirm their genders first.
- Do not guess or assume the genders of characters as it goes against our Tag What You See policy.
- 4) You see one character with both male and female sexual characteristics. They have breasts, a penis, as well as a vagina.
- 5) You see one male, one female, and one intersex character. They are engaged in a threesome and are interacting with each other sexually.
- Tag with male/female, intersex/male, and intersex/female. This is because male/female is for the sexual interaction between the male and female characters, while intersex/male and intersex/female is for the sexual interactions between the intersex character on the male and female characters respectively.
- Do not tag with intersex/intersex as that is for when two intersex characters are engaging with one another.
- 6) You see one male and one intersex character secretly having sex in public. There is also a third female character who is not involved at all and is just passing by, not noticing the sexual act in progress.
- Tag with male, female, and intersex. This is because you can visually confirm the genders of each character in the artwork.
- Tag with intersex/male only as this is the sexual interaction between the male and intersex characters.
- Do not tag with male/female or intersex/female as the female character is not involved in the sexual act at all.

You do not need to worry about the invalid tags, because your record was not because of invalid tags. It was for adding tags that do not fit the post. The record says that it was for adding tags that are either invalid OR inapplicable. The tags you added were only inapplicable.
But if you want to ensure that tags are not invalid, you can search tags from here:

The page will usually show what tag is used for, and if it has became an invalid tag. If you accidentally add an invalid tag, you can remove it after making a post.
